#Inworldz Final Touches on Lindrens Hope for Sandie

I’ve pretty much laid everything else aside to work on the Dunvalos Reach sim. Mostly in my Hope For Sandie work of recreating her worlds from her book, but also in getting the Marion Margaret Press library open for business. It’s stuff that needs doing and thankfully work I can do while my mind is so muddled. Ever since Charlie first told me they took her in the hospital, I haven’t been good for much of anything.

Getting back into her books and recreating pieces has been good therapy for me. She’s a good friend. The first person I really friended when I discovered the internet a bit over ten years ago, and we’ve talked nearly everyday since then. This is the next best thing to being able to be with her and give her support through this trying time.

Give her prayers please. My last update was that they found another tumor. Not saying more, because we have to wait until the team of specialists can look closer and just be patient, and wait, and hope.

Well, Silverwood is closer to being ready to show. It won’t be done fully for a long time. The big pieces are quicker to create or find, the smaller accent pieces will take longer to create. We hope by then Sandie is functional and back with us, and tell me how to fix the bits I got wrong.

A longer wait than we like. My mother and aunt went through this and after the operation, recovery just takes time.

I think I finally have Lindren’s cottage as close to Sandie’s description as I can. The great find today was a wood texture that really looks like molded wood. The elven cottages are magically worked out of the Shirren tree. So now, Lindren’s cottage looks like it was made with living wood. The floor is a natural knotty wood and I let the outside be a log cabin style, versus the original tudor style.

The elven cottages are also supposed to resemble human cottages more than we’d expect, so keeping the log cabin like walls out helps make this impression. And it gives a little bit more contrast against the vines, bushes, and Rhianna’s flower garden. I also did the best I could for right now with the roof. Couldn’t find any circular roof sculpts to make it from so may have to contract another creator later on for that.

Some pictures of how things are coming along follow.

Entrance to Silverwood - I set up a high quality wall and gate system to flow things together. Chose red roses, since it seems Rhianna likes those.

Lindren's Kitchen. I think the other elves come here a lot for dinner.

The Table and Chairs in the common room. I had to make the table - Sandie has it being an adjustable one. Have to add the window in and some more details yet.

The cottage common room. Fireplace not exactly as Sandie has it, but it has elven script on it.

The kitchen pantry. Yep. I think this is more than just for a family of four. *grin*

Well, Sandie did say a LARGE wooden bathtub. Special made by my friend and sim partner. Needs some details added yet.
